When I talk about this, the most common thing I hear is "my parents have Medicare, not Medicaid". With no understanding Medicare does not cover long term care, at all, ever.

Cut long ago. Medicare covers almost nothing. My Mom was in assisted living, solely paid by Medicaid, as many there prob were. 🥺🥺 thousands will lose jobs, buisness, but the loss of life and SUFFERING will be unimaginable.😢

I like to ask who they use for their secondary insurance. When I get the blank look and follow with "Oh, so you pay the Medi-Gap yourself?" and get another blank look, I thoroughly enjoy informing them that their parents DO have Medicaid because SOMEONE is paying that percentage if they are not!

Exactly!! We need a Visual Whiteboard Bernie Sanders/ AOC LESSON. Simple math, simple explanation. Cuts to Medicaid would result in Catastrophes. Too much confusion, nursing homes aren’t free.
