I don't know the stats, but been thinking, are there even enough national guard to go to all these cities in the first place? Or enough military?

To occupy and hold, no. To murder, kill, and wholesale slaughter--yes, that's the only thing they can really do. As an occupying force they'll be taken apart just like in Iraq and Afghanistan (once again, by people defending their homes).
