I don’t trust Dump an inch. My faith is that the EU working together will be able to lean so heavily on him that he will have to stop supporting Russia. But also that they (the EU) will step up much more vigorously with anti-Russia and anti-US embargos and spending the frozen £300,000,000 on Ukraine

seems the general consensus is that nobody from Europe (or anywhere in the world tbh) can or should trust anything that Trump says or does. He us corrupt and dangerous and they should avoid dealing with him on any level. If the rest of us can see this, why can't Starmer and the rest?

It’s a pivotal time in this horrible saga. Europe must step up with or without Trump, who is perfectly capable of lying to their faces and then obeying Daddy Putin. And there’s no denying that without the US military machine Europe is weak. But Russia isn’t doing all that well either. We’ll see…
They have given in to him on economic issues. But in this particular fight, they know their lives and countries are on the line. They have always known that Ukraine is the canary in the coal mine. As Ukraine goes, so goes Europe.
