dissenting opinion written by Richard Taranto--Obama appointee...but he clerked for Bork and for Sandra Day O'Connor. Obama really was a disaster when it came to appointing judges....I blame that on Rahm Emmanuel, Axelrod and the rest of those hacks who rode his coattails.
Rahm Emanuel was a stalwart proponent of slashing welfare and expanding the war on drugs. The Clinton-Obama era 'consultants' are a millstone. I assign a large portion of blame for Harris' defeat in 2024, to these hacks.
