Except she doesn’t have any grounds for appeal. She was never promised immunity in the Florida case and, even so, that immunity in a state case wouldn’t give her immunity in other states nor the federal court in which she was already tried and convicted, which was upheld on appeal already.

Her appeals being guaranteed to move forward, and an acquittal or a potential retrial after the fact, all can be slow-rolled, and all give legal cover to keep the files buried. It gets Trump's base and Congress off his back and closes the holes that exist to get those records.

If Maxwell does get off, Trump then won't have the pardon fallout. "The courts did it" and "Maxwell said Trump wasn't involved." Plus, that legal process could potentially drag out for ages until after Trump's dead or out of office.

A whistleblower needs to leak it — even if under an NDA because that doesn’t cover ongoing illegality — which is what going on. Proof of quid pro quo/conflicts, etc. and whistleblower protections.

Doing it that way comes w/ an added bonus: if the nonprosecution agreement (NPA) that then-US Atty Acosta entered into w/ Epstein in SDFL in 2007 is deemed by SCOTUS to preclude the prosecution of Maxwell, it may also preclude the prosecution of other Epstein associates... like you-know-whom.
