By that logic, we shouldn't have ever any federal government agencies, since everyone running all of them are awful right now.

No. You design the programs knowing what is at risk.

Yeah that's what all the stuff after the first paragraph is for. It must be so easy to be a billionaire don't have to think about anything for more than 2 seconds.

Yes, and design a system that can grow in line with advances in science, tech, and other sciences. For example, medical tech will evolve, AI will be real AI, robotics, etc. A system designed to fix a broken system is like folding origami with duct tape.

You mean like give other requirements that were shown like covering all US citizens that is mentioned that you completely ignore? This is a bad excuse to why we don’t have Medicare for all.

Do you think Medicare for old people is designed properly for the risk? Or do those people just not matter?

So what is your argument in the first place, then? Because it seems to be that we shouldn't have M4A because bad people could end up in charge.

Mark Cuban is clearly arguing in bad faith. Going further, I would argue there is nothing really stopping bad political movements or parties from destroying a nation from the inside at any point in history. Anytime I see the argument “but what if bad people exist” I know they are political novices.

This has been my takeaway from the extremely (and probably deliberately) long waits for trans healthcare via the UK's NHS fwiw- a hybrid system with public UHC/private providers works best to meet demand.

Humans immediately focus on bifurcations. Good/bad, left/right. Maybe there is an OR circuit in our brain, or that we're two handed.

Nothing is absolute. Even the consitution can be reinterpreted and rewritten. Design all you want but until the country can shatter the shackles of excessive capitalism, nothing can truly progress.

I think his intent wasn't to say the government can't run Med 4 all. I initially read it the same way, but he is saying that the assertion that the private healthcare jobs would be lost is wrong, they would need to be ported over to the infrastructure for the medicare 4 all systems.
