The vast majority of those arrested are for lesser levels of terrorism charges. If found guilty they'll get max 6 months or a £5k fine. Given that most of them are 60+ and the current state of prison overcrowding, I'm guessing a fine or conditional discharge will be given, IF they're found guilty.

Pure copium Sentencing for offenses under Section 12 of the Terrorism Act 2000 (which covers inviting support for a proscribed organization) was significantly impacted by the Counter-Terrorism and Sentencing Act 2021, which increased the maximum sentence for such offenses to 14 years' imprisonment
