When u have Bruno Fernandez as your club captain, that says everything. The bloke can't be arsed running 😂 #YNWA
I'm genuinely starting to think Mourinho opened manager's eyes to the idea of taking the Man U job just to get a massive payoff. Fair play imo
The problem is the dressing room. The players. Not managers. Not owners. The 11 selected on match day. They're supposed to be professionals at what they do, but have been doing this for a decade. Will United have to force a performance clause into all contracts?
Not sure about that. Yeah the squad is pretty poor & expensively assembled but it's better than should be relegation battle. The one player that seems to regularly put in a shift is the most flaky, premadonnaesc one. To me that means it's tactical above all else
12 years of this since Fergie. This isn't directly a manager issue. Yes, ETH was a complete disaster for the dressing room, with his fucked up game of thrones mentality. That is likely the main reason it is now a group of individuals. No manager or system would likely have made a difference.
Honestly.... what do you think the CL will be like next season???
Jose just goes "job to job" looking to get sacked. I think other managers have cottoned on & Sir Jim is an arrogant mug who thinks he's the smartest person in every room. I wouldn't be surprised if there was expensive manager turnover until he's gone.
Most top managers goes from job to job. That is the choice of club owners, not managers. That mentality of, we can fix everything by changing the guy making motivational speeches before matches! It worked in Any Given Sunday, so it must be science? :)
Nah. Jose was after the payoff. EtH wanted to get sacked and I think Ruben does too. Easy money from a rich idiot
Yeah, the conspiracy theory is always a lot more exciting than reality. \o/ Just one thing we should probably check back in reality, before dancing off into never never land. Why would Ruben destroy his managerial career at 40?
Money. Jose didn't destroy his career, he went on to big jobs. EtH will be fine and Ruben will not be destroyed by this and will probably go to Chelsea and do ok
I guess this place isn't immune to stupid spam bots either.
Who has? How many of the players have been there for a decade? Onana, Masroui, De Ligt, Dorgu, Ugarte, Cas, Amad, Garna, Eriksen, Yoro, Zirkzee, Rasmus, Mainoo…they have all been there a short time. I don’t understand this argument. This isn’t a dressing room that has turned over countless coaches.
Only Bruno, Maguire & Shaw have been there for a very long time, maybe Dalot too. I don’t get the argument.
A football team is a workplace. Once you get a bad culture going, it is tough to change. I can imagine this goes double in an environment where the core "employees" are "untouchables". That is clearly what's been going on since 2013 and the last couple years it has just accelerated.
Who is untouchable though? Bruno maybe is the only one I can think of and honestly can’t see him being responsible for the bad culture.
OLE LEGEND to come back, please pretty please :)
Next season? Should appoint one now.
I know this'll come back to bite me but this was an inevitable car crash. If he doesn't win the final, I struggle to see how he survives beyond the winter.
😂
Is there anyone left?
