And that’s the thing! (At least for Newport Beach; OC contains multitudes, e.g., Westminster and Santa Ana are nothing like Irvine, which is nothing like Laguna, etc.) I only knew it through TV before moving there and… well, let’s just say Pageant Masters blew my mind lol

The Pageant of the Masters is so fucking weird. South County is basically a different world from everything north of Irvine. Doubly so in the weird enclaves like Laguna Hills. I grew up in Garden Grove since my grandparents worked for Disneyland. The OC Weekly is my original alt paper d:
