No. I said he could charge at the entrance to the field. Maybe by the bushel or bag. But I can see how it might confuse you. Letting the crop rot will obviously be profitable for the farmers.

Doubtful enough people would come vs selling to break even

It's a fine idea, but most of the US farms are too big and very far away from the consumers. 😟

Maybe. But growing up my family would travel from Illinois to Michigan to pick our own cherries. It was a fun family activity and we paid a lot less than we would have in the grocery stores.

So you expect poeple who work 40 hrs a week or more to drive to farm and pay the farmer to labor on a farm. Farms aren't markets.

I don’t expect anything. Those same people are just afforded an opportunity to not only see where their food comes from but to pay less than they would for produce in a store. They still have to eat regardless of how many hours they work. But of course the farmers should let food rot.

Farmers voted for this, I don't care if they are losing money. Unfortunately, because of their votes we will all suffer.

They may have fallen for the con as millions of Americans did. I fail to understand how allowing them to go under will help food insecurity, rising market prices, corporations taking over from failing farmers, environmental and other issues. Nothing like biting off your nose to spite your face.

Being intolerant and unforgiving is certainly going to help people change their minds and votes in the future.

I'm not interested in appeasing these people. We'll just all have to burn.
