like outlook is actually unusable now because if I click reply and click the cursor into the text box and start typing it automatically pops me to new menus that come out of nowhere and then treats my typing as keyboard shortcuts

I think they couldn't make the browser-based versions of their products good, so they're making the application versions worse to force people to switch.

I think they gave the wrong engineers too much power over product decisions! It is very clearly not the UI folks.

Oh I've definitely had several instances recently where I tried to search my inbox by clicking in the search bar at the top and starting to type, but it instead just starts doing shit as if I'm hitting shortcuts, including deleting emails if I hit backspace or the delete key. It's terrible.
