Failing up is a thing for real.
Failing up is a thing for real.
Sad but true, dear Miss Dimanche.
So chilling. My sister worked for the CDC for a long time. She is not happy about this appointment. She's a public health master.
I feel sorry for your sister and all health care professionals, especially Black women and people from other marginalized communities, who fought so hard to get where they are, only to get the least of the Kennedys as their boss, dear Miss Dimanche.
It's bad how set back we will be.
I am so sorry, dear Miss Dimanche. You and your sister do most certainly deserve better than this.
This doesn’t shock me as I saw where healthcare was going when they said a nurse practitioner should be able to do the job if a doctor with half the education training and experience if not even less than half of it which was driven by ww wanting to maintain power in healthcare 1/
I will always fight anyway.
But I must say it’s hard to explain to those not yet ready to see or truly see understand the depths of history you and I know
I know, Ekta
The weaponized healthcare and waited for us to die out. Never happened and here we are.
They*
Same time when trying to give perspective I don’t know how to explain it to those who have not read what I have and that is where I struggle. Bc some things you don’t truly understand til you do on your own intuitive thinking and ability to connect the dots 4/
We’re not subjected too? The loss of my career? Never really having positive deep relations w/ white people? Was it bc I held firmly to my culture which allowed me to see what others trying to fit in with white people didn’t? I will never know truly. But what I’ve seen I cannot unsee & at the 3/
It's very hard when the veil is lifted.
Amen
Girl.
Sometimes I wonder why I am able to see it so clearly. Not just read books but understand the patterns and what you all are trying to tell us. And yet so many don’t. What made me understand what so many fail to grasp? Was it lived experience of being in the receiving end of the bs so many others 2/
Yep every last word of this. There seems to be not even one institution they won’t weaponize & still so many fail to grasp what you & I get bc they don’t know the depths of this country’s history and how to integrate that knowledge to understand its significance to today. I realize that more & more
Same and that is what makes us The Black and Jewish alliance and other people like me aligned with your alliance powerful We see the truth others are still trying to grasp and know what we are having to fight against to make things better
And because I saw how insurance companies fucked over patients as a backlash to Black Americans fighting for right of Medicare and Medicaid to be a thing. Insurance companies were designed to keep power in hands of white men 2/
When you understand how much it all boils to the white supremacy driven systems you can never unsee it again. Their goal is to burn this country down for their sick beliefs in superiority. The if I can’t have it then they can’t either attitude of sociopaths 3/
Our healthcare system is what it is due to white supremacy. I get it all the way. Lol it's so crazy because of racism.
Amen! I saw it at every twist and turn in my short lived medical career before I was forced to walk away. It’s truly sad bc this country could truly be the best in the world if white folk and their adjacents finally grew up and got over themselves
Health professions are crying
