Very odd! We actually start marigolds several times through the season.

i tried two rounds with seeds from separate sources. only 3 out of about 50 seeds germinated. they're usually quite easy to grow, but it's been a hit or miss gardening season here. even parsley refused to thrive. too many heat waves, drenching rains then prolonged dry spells. try, try again. 🙂

It has been a volatile season. Downpours of rain, record heat. We start almost everything under cover now and then transplant to protect the seeds and seedlings.
