My spouse had a dentist appointment not far from where we both went to college today & texted me afterwards about seeing some of the freshmen moving in wearing stovepipe raver pants. Exactly what they were wearing when we met.

My kid, now a senior, went to college literally wearing t-shirts & flannels from my time in college 30 years prior. And Docs like my friends wore (I always preferred lighter shoes).

Still occasionally think about how my first impression was "this girl is impossibly cool, there's no way she'd date me." We've been married just shy of 19 years now.
