I get the sentiment 100% Dehumanization and hatred are definitely their inspiration. Auschwitz was a murder factory stretching 550 acres, that killed 4,000 a day, so not truly comparable. The big horrific bill will create 100s of detention sites. Let’s protest the f*ck out of every one of them!

If you can’t recognize it in its infancy you cannot change it. Yes, it is Auschwitz. Just in its early days.

Auschwitz started as a smaller concentration camp. It expanded over time to become what we know. There is Auschwitz I, the concentration camp and administrative center that the Florida detention center is actually very similar to, and Auschwitz II-Birkenau, the extermination camp.

In 1940, Auschwitz was established as a concentration camp for Polish political prisoners. It turned into a death camp in 1942 as part of the “Final Solution”. Dismissing comparisons is how history repeats. We should all be alarmed right now instead of claiming it isn’t as bad as it was in 1942.

Was only drawing a distinction on the size, scope, and the sick efficiency. And noted the motivation is the same. We can see it coming; recognize it due to history, not dismiss it spite of history. Whereas some of the crimes at Auschwitz were cloaked from sight for a period of time.

I do believe they are sending people to their deaths.

There is no way this regime can build enough camps in three years if they reach their quota of 3,000 people a day. They fired all the skilled, knowledgeable leaders, and are unable to manage a complicated logistics and construction program like the one required. It will fail. Many will die.

You’re not wrong, but the reason people are sent there is a lot more like Auschwitz than Alcatraz. Maybe “Gator Gulag”?

You're right. It's not remotely like Auschwitz ... yet.

It will be Dachau though. Dachau wasn’t part of the “final solution”, it was meant for the “enemy within”, and people died mainly of diseases, starvation and suicide.

Auschwitz wasn't an extermination camp at first, either. Auschwitz I remained a concentration camp. It was Auschwitz II-Birkenau that was the extermination camps. They were both part of the same greater camp, but the distinction between the two sub-camps IS important.

Did it start as a murder factory, though? Our fear is that what is being started as a “detention center” could easily morph into a death camp. Even accidentally, should a big storm occur. I mean, here we are headed into hurricane season. They are in tents.

Accidentally on purpose nature-based deaths solve a lot of problems for them.

No, it didn’t. But we can see it happening. There will definitely be death by flood and many other causes . 😢
