I can't tell if I'm currently going through the motions of IBS or coeliac disease, so got a docs appointment planned, but also can anyone help me distinguish the two please?

There is a blood test that is indicative of coeliac and depending on the results you'll be sent for an endoscopy & biopsy for confirmation. Don't stop eating gluten until after all tests have been conducted otherwise the markers will not be there. And if you have stopped start again now.
Ooh I'll get that done as soon as I can. Thank you π
Can someone - me - just say you're full of shit sweetheart π
Honestly been there ππ
Trigger foods can somewhat help figure this out, since ceoliac is specific to certain grains and stuff, but honestly IBS, GERD, gastroparysis and similar gastro issues are so varied, it can be hard to say if it's one or the other. At least in my experience, anyway. I have GERD, possibly IBS, and>
undiagnosed gastroparysis (though thankfully haven't had an episode of this in awhile, was so god damn painful when I had flare ups). That said, you're not alone and just be honest with your doctor about your symptoms. They may also refer you to a gastro specialist to help figure out more.
Also stomach issues are also co-morbid with neurodivergence (trust me I know this, I know this WELL) So thatβs something to take account of
Ooh I wasn't aware. Thank you! Yeah it's come at the same time as a lot of recent stress so I'm leaning towards it's related, but I want to cover all bases at the same time as well...
