It's not that I think it would be hard for me to figure out. It's that I doubt 99% if the population would bother with anything more complicated than 'Download the one app and sign in".
I *had* a Mastodon account. The problem was barely anyone else I wanted to follow wanted to jump through the minor hoops to create an account.
That’s what I’m saying - deer social is not mastodon, it’s Bluesky and uses all the same login and everything .. there’s no switchover required
how? who is in charge or owns it so that it's bluesky or safe to use same login info? 🤔 TIA.
it's better to call all these services that people are referring to "bluesky" as atproto (a number of apps, including bluesky and deer social, runs on that protocol) mastodon (and other masto type sites) uses a different protocol/system
You own your data and the back end is separate from the front end that’s the difference between bsky and other social media
