Just one of the many reasons why I take umbridge with the recent phrase "kindness is punk rock," it's a hollow liberal dogwhistle of spineless inaction. Not saying kindness is unimportant, but it's not sufficient praxis by any means, neither is it that effective as an anti-establishment sentiment.
kindness is important. and i have kindness for those who deserve it, but not the ones who would just laugh and kick me in the face if I tried to extend it to them.

It’s weak because it buries the lede on what’s actually meant by that It’s not about not getting angry or “going high” It means caring about the people the systems of oppression actively tells you to be indifferent towards and TAKING ACTION

What happens on either end really is just a purity spiral, and even then it's not for the sake of feeling good but fitting in more often than not I would argue.
Being good doesnt mean letting yourself get walked on. Standing up for good morals and fighting back is being good, but too many people see servitude as the means to be "good" playing into the rights ideals.

The point is that the same corporate overlords who are jacking up grocery prices control both sides, and it doesn’t matter who you choose We need a third secret option. One of the few intelligent things trump has claimed is a Uniparty. We can’t rise up if we’re all poor
Even better, we need several more options, and they need to be just as able to win as the current two that we currently have. We technically do have more than just the big two, but they don't stand a fighting chance.
