It is possible to be poor, but still have enough to eat. Food insecurity is about not being sure there will be any food available for you. Could it be that ppl are so illiterate that they no longer have the ability to communicate at an adult level?

Perhaps. But, the successful politicians keep demonstrating that authenticity and plain language work. We should focus on this and not the exact words.

You are assuming we all agree on the definition of poor. Being poor in a major metro area is different than being poor in rural agricultural areas.
