Native nations in Oklahoma are demographically strong enough to change state politics if mobilized. Many tribal citizens are involved in their tribal govs, but avoid state government because I guess that feels like "the other government". But state gov affects them just as anyone. They should run!

They've won some lawsuits against the state. I read somewhere (yes, I know) that traditionally the tribes stayed out of state politics, except for some lawsuits, but that recently they were thinking that maybe they should get involved in support of Dems. No idea what I was reading.

Surprised Oklahomophobia doesn’t have a law on the books banning residents of reservations from running for state level offices.

The current governor is actually a member of the Cherokee Nation. Legally, but not in spirit. It’s complicated.

See this flag? This is Native America's Flag! There's no reason the tribes can't be controlling this state. I will die on this hill!

Maybe the tribal govs need to do a better job of pointing out to their people how the state gov affects their lives so that they will get out and vote as well as those who can run! If people don't see and know how they can make a change, most won't even try to do it!
