Covid came from nature. It wasn’t a lab accident. China would never be stupid enough to put a non-scientist in charge of a BSL-4 lab. Because that is how you end up with lab accidents. The CDC is a BSL-4 lab, just like Wuhan. Trump and RFK Jr put a non-scientist in charge. Atlanta should be worried.

Except when you talk to experts in the field they can explain all those coincidences. Then go on to explain how the spread of an actual lab leak would have differed from what happened.
First of all, it was during the Trump administration so we didn’t get truth about anything. Secondly, there are times when experts can’t use complete honesty with the public. The risk of mass hysteria is too great which just exacerbates the problem.

COVID is a result of how humans increasingly encroach on nature. As we expand into areas where we haven’t lived before, we come into contact with wildlife more often. We transport wildlife into new regions where they don’t belong, creating more opportunities for diseases to jump between species.
Or, at times, as climate change leads to habitat change and expansion. Hoist by our own petard, so to speak.
That is science. Lab leak is unsupported conspiracy theory.
This. Americans haven’t seen a serious plague in generations, and are now complacent that emerging diseases must be man made, as we have clearly conquered the microbe world. Somehow the history of the black plague, cholera, pandemic flu have all fallen out their heads or were never there at all.
Either way, the current concern is far too valid.

If people knew what is in those labs…they should be terrified. Example: Some of the animal diseases that they study…the infected animals are liquified after study and the remains never leave the facility. Stuff in there that could decimate whole crops. This is beyond reckless . It’s criminal.
