Thankfully, our ranch isn't in wolf country (although, hundreds of years ago, wolves existed here). Wolves are my fav animals. I've spent countless hours watching them in Wyoming/Montana/Alberta. I've read Gordon Haber, studied non-lethal deterrents, etc. I like this drone idea! Hope it works.

I’ll add that a lot has to go wrong for wolves to prey on cattle. They don’t want to eat cows—they prefer elk and deer. So the real question is: where are the elk and deer? Maybe that’s the problem we need to solve.

I've spent a lot of days in Lamar Valley standing near him. He's a pretty hated guy outside the park. Which is terrible. He's a very knowledgeable guy.
There are two ways to manage wildlife. Natural (e.g., the "Yellowstone" way) and hunting. Hunters take the biggest, strongest and most healthy. These are the animals in their prime, what nature needs. Wolves on the other hand prey weak, elderly and "less fighty" animals. Let the wolves handle it.
