I'm atheist, and I mostly dislike religions, at least in our contemporary context. But even people born into some evangelical or salafist sects, even the ones who joined the Scientology or Rael, are still my human brothers and sisters.

That's why as much as I hate some of their ideas, I try to : - not mix up people who don't have the same beliefs - take into account the time period. Calvinists in 1545 are not Calvinists today. - avoid to reduce people to their religion, or to reduce a faith to a few people.
