To remove Fox from the Tivo Guide channel, go to Menu, then Settings, then User Preferences. Scroll down to Favorite Channels, uncheck Fox. Make sure to do it for all channels(SD, HD UHD). This won't remove it completely-just from the guide channel-so you won't see it, and neither can your in-laws.

If you're in a city the local store that sells TVs will have cheap antenna. About $20 if you have a newer TV, check the specs to see if it has the digital tuner.

No little box. TVs still have antenna inputs, but have a digital tuner built in. The old broadcast range is now 5G- which always makes me laugh when I hear people screed about it being dangerous - it's the old UHF/VHF bands.

Those were the old analogue signal TVs. But most flat screens have the new digital tuners built in and a coax input for the antenna. Best Buy has them starting at $20 for 30 miles distance to the transmitters. If it doesn't have the tuner then the glass panel thingies are sold as monitors.
