I was born & raised in Michigan, moved across the border to Ohio, when it was still the country’s bellwether state. We always elected the next president until somehow our elections went blood red. I’m hoping most educated republicans will come to their senses & vote with integrity instead of party.
I hope so. My Ohio family went full Trump. They fell for all of the anti-Harris propaganda. Their reason: she didn’t like Christians. When I pointed out that Drumpf is the least Christian man in America, they just shrugged. It’s caused irreparable harm to my family.
I’m so sorry that happened to your family. Trump is so polarizing & he’s breaking families apart. I have 6 siblings & only one went MAGA. The rest & all their spouses are never Trumpers our parents were also pro union and pro Democracy. Best of luck with your MAGA side of the family, stay strong.
I have family in Maryland who I have ignored -- they are Trumpf supporters, mostly due to racist tendencies.
Honestly so did both mine and my husband's families, from Michigan. We've been disowned, essentially. It's not good. It'll never heal. Even when this is over, they'll avoid us. We were wrong somehow. Mine in particular blame me for everything wrong in their lives now. Funny, I often feel the same.
