I would like to see them add a checkbox next to at least 1 item. "Deal Breaker" if our shopper can't put hands on this item then we will automatically refund (or not charge until) and save the rest of your items in your cart for when the item comes available. Thank you. We are trying.

Yeah, I’ve seen instacart shoppers not find lots of items with no substitute. Our store can be quite vexing when trying to find stuff. Also, I’m glad I wasn’t drinking my coffee when you said “juicy d’s” on the show. My car would have looked like a picasso…

It’s a flawed system for sure. Not sure about other stores, but our system doesn’t reflect what’s available on the shelf. It says we carry a thing, but we might not have it in stock. People get mad when they travel long distances to our store because the internet says we have it.

Totally, plus someone could be walking around with an item that is low in inventory and no way to really reflect that other than the "low in inventory" identifier. I just wish InstaCart specifically would recognize how people actually shop & accept more risk on their side with some reasonable fees.

I get them charging a fee to discourage abuse. But $15 dollar restock fee on 5 items assumes they want to mitigate all risk on their side by essentially paying the shopper out of the fee. The shopper shouldn't have to take all the risk of out of stock items. It should be shared at least.
