How did that happened ? Do they recruit people specifically to this purpose ? Or is it propaganda ?

Propaganda definitely plays a role, but there are some people who are just so invested in their careers or the company's "vision" that they refuse to see the reality around them. I became disenfranchised in 2008 after the best, most experienced people were fired to keep useless new hires.
