I’m looking forward to seeing what cards our Illinois Governor Pritzker will play if Trump’s goons show up in Chicago. JB has already said, quite sternly, he will “bend no knee to a king.”

Pritzker needs to play those cards now. It’s not an if scenario. It will happen. I think his only play though will be to ensure Chicago PD and any sheriffs offices are loyal to the city and its citizens and not federalized occupation armies, which is what NG is being turned in to.

I’m not so sure that’s his only plan in the playbook. He’s a smarter man than Trump and certainly won’t wanna telegraph plans in advance. Also, remember, Pritzker used the Illinois National Guard to safeguard covid supplies against Don Jr stealing those supplies from O’Hare airport.

If the mad orange one federalizes the Illinois Guard, then that move won’t be available. Sadly, the federal government overrides the State in that regard. He now wants drunk guy Pete to put together a “special” Guard unit to deal with deployment to cities to address “civil unrest” speaks volumes.

He’s trying everything he can to push citizens toward something he can then label “civil unrest”. He wants violence to seal the deal. Fascism and Authoritarianism end only one way. It’s never been peaceful.
