Absolutely. There are important ideological differences between Blairism and the pre-1994 Labour right, but the biggest is just a mentality thing.

And this is exacerbated by our somewhat chequered electoral history, because there's nothing like repeated defeats for building a bitter, inward-looking camaraderie.
