A 19th-century Russian spirit kettle, featuring a basilisk. Spirit kettles were often fueled by alcohol-based flames in a small burner located beneath the pot. Made of wood, bronze, and copper, and is housed in the Museum of Samovars and Bouillottes in Russia. #art #kettle #pot #oldtimes
