“If a policy leads to 10% more for the rich and 2% more for the poor then I would certainly vote up” The political economy of this is why we are where we are. The 10% gain at the top for ~45 years has led to more power centralization and, ironically, more regressive taxation.

Yes. Exactly this. I follow a lot of smart Neolib writers. If they were blind to the corrosive affect of extreme wealth on our political system before 2024, Elon Musk should have brought it home.
