I’ve never felt safer than when I’m at Mass and in communion with others in the presence of God. That anyone, let alone a child, would ever feel unsafe at Mass is beyond heartbreaking. Words can’t do justice for the pain the families of these children are feeling.
Going to mass in elementary school was always filled with a sense of wonder for me. I can't imagine these children being able to recover from this trauma. 🙏🤲
Only in the US, guns are more important than innocent children. Fuck the NRA and Republicans…go to hell.
Too many of our fellow Catholics would rather vote for gun violence, for letting women die of pregnancy complications, for bigotry, than actual DO anything to help.
Not unlike the synoguge mass shootings. Guess no faith is safe.
Yet there have been many church/temple/mosque shooting. Even the peaceful Sikhs have been victims. Its not the beliefs. Its not the location. Its the guns.
Well I mean there’s the whole Catholic Diocese pedophile ring that allowed and covered up the sexual abuse of children in the church for decades so I’d rethink that statement.

We have seen mass shootings in churches, synagogues, mosques, and sihk gurdwaras. It should go without saying, but sadly doesn’t, that this behavior is vile.

Those kids will never go to church again. They are are forever scared. My heart breaks.

Schools, churches, movie theaters, nightclubs, concerts. Places meant for learning, worship, and enjoyment have been tainted by gun violence. I hope I live long enough to see real change happen. Thoughts and prayers without action and implementation are useless.

You can talk to god in your own privacy. But whenever people gather together in masses or churches it gets toxic and fanatic. Religion has became a serious problem – all over the world.
That a child would feel, and be, unsafe in a classroom, a grocery store, a theater, a bowling alley, is a stain on our government and adult, voting age citizens.

Kids haven't been safe in Catholic churches in decades. I have family that is still fighting the New Archdiocese with them protecting pedo priests

for so many of us that fear & feeling of constant threat lives in the body, no matter which space. the cop mentality that pervades culture far outside the realm of enforcing legal standards & regulations brings gun violence everywhere mindset of policing of everyone & everywhere with guns = problem
