That’s a fair point 👍🏼it can feel disheartening to see highly trained service members tasked with work that doesn’t match their skills or the sacrifices they’ve made. At the same time, a lot of Guard missions are about supporting communities in whatever way is needed, not just combat or security.

Sometimes that means disaster relief, logistics, or even cleanup efforts if resources are stretched. I think the real issue is making sure their time is valued and that they’re not being used as a stopgap for things that should be properly staffed and funded by civilian agencies.
