Also, as a general rule you don’t disrespect firefighters if you live in the woods. The locals might shit on other govt. workers but they know it’s fire country and the fire district keeps them from burning down. Plus that kid on the fire line is also the EMT who gave their dad CPR a few years back
TBH I’m a little surprised the crew chief even let BP get out of their cars. There’s a BP office up the road in Port Angeles and if I worked there, I’d be clearing brush around my house right now b/c things might mysteriously catch on fire and the response might be a tad slow 7/7/end
