I can't say anything to make anything better for anyone anywhere other than I care about these events and about the people touched by them.

No matter. You words are heartfelt and genuine and I appreciate that a lot.

Occasionally a poem will intrude in my brain and be hopeful. You never know, nor do I. For me, poetry "happens." Maybe it will send some joy.

I’m not poetic myself but certainly listening and reading it brings me joy.
