This is not an ideological statement, but an assessment of the state of diplomacy and international law (or rather the violation and coercion). Rules are applied selectively and treaties are broken. The only effective means seems to be force. The division of nations prevents other means.

You are not. As a German who's been a long time reader of that newspaper - which is considered center-left by German political standards - I find myself increasingly troubled by many of their takes... and those of "centrist" politicians, like Chancellor Merz's recent "Drecksarbeit" comment.
