I’ve said this before but “you shouldn’t ever have to be uncomfortable and if you are it is because someone is doing Something Bad” is groomer bullshit.

Once you teach someone that the only reason you feel creeped out or weird or uncomfortable is because Very Bad People are doing Very Bad Things they can slip inside your boundaries and flip it
“You don’t think *I’m* a Very Bad Person doing Very Bad Things, do you? Of course not. So just relax. If nobody here is a Very Bad Person doing Very Bad Things then your feelings of discomfort are clearly wrong and should not be trusted!”
Feeling uncomfortable means somebody is doing something Very Bad” is a direct pipeline to “nobody is doing anything Very Bad, therefore *you have no right to feel uncomfortable*”
Its also highly convenient for people who neither wish to ask nor answer the question 'I am the arsehole?,' and for anyone who wants to never be accountable for their own actions.
