On the opposite end of the spectrum, while working in pediatric orthopedics, we had a new patient come in with request for cast removal. A little odd as most patients for removal had their casts placed by us so they wouldnât be ânew.â Turns out theyâd had the cast on for a YEAR. Normal = 6 wks
