If RFK Jr. ends the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP), he will make millions in client fees while his clients lose their lawsuits. The bar for proving a vaccine injury in court is higher than via VICP. But more importantly, millions of children will become disabled and die.

The bar is effectively insurmountable following the OAP test case decisions. This suggests RFK Jr is misleading families who believe their kids' autism is due to vaccines.
There is no greater five alarm fire than this. I don’t know how to break through to Republicans about the impact of ending VICP, but I won’t stop posting about it, and neither should you. Call your elected reps. Write letters. This is a living nightmare.

I thought they would be doing that to oppose his nomination, yet here we are. We will have to see. The U.S. government is currently an irrational actor.
I would assume the insurance lobby, who currently benefits from all the hospital visits babies and kids aren't having thanks to vaccines, would also hate to see this happen.

It's a great program. If you have something happen that we know by evidence *could* be vaccine related, like say, a seizure, you don't have to prove that it definitely *was* vaccine related. They give you the compensation. That's only fair when we make everybody take vaccines for school.
It totally makes sense to mitigate the risk. Sad that we have aggressively foolish people in charge of public health at the federal level now.
Yeah. And this program makes it easy for families to file if something does happen. They're just mad because they've been unable to get compensation for autism. Mainly, yanno, because vaccines don't cause it.
Well the anti-vax movement has captured both social media and the media itself, which for years has “both sides” this. It’s a false equivalence. Hence the only message that most people get is “you can’t even sue vaccine makers!”. VICP is never, ever explained.

From his previous statements, it was obvious that he would go after VICP -- which limited his income. The Senators were not stupid. If they did not figure this out it is because they chose not to.
