There are only two things we can do with the homeless, kill them, or get them into homes. Forcing them to stay on the streets kills them slower than the fascists would like, but it still kills them. Getting them into proper homes is the only morally acceltable option.

And for people to become more desperate. Which is never good for any society.

So much of this story is administrators seeing an expensive line item and believing there there will be only good effects to cutting it. But healthcare, when cut, does not cure the symptoms but only delays treatment. The effects of these diseases are leading to social ills and around and around.
