Mom visited his plot a few years ago. Wanted to see it before she died. She never met him. It is surrounded by keystones that have an S on them-Sinclair Oil. I'm sure he thought he'd have company there eventually. He will not. Mom never wanted to go back to Texas again after that.

How heartbreaking for her. It makes me both sad and angry to know so many good people suffered at the hands of the rich coal, copper and oil barons. I hope these stories will never be forgotten. 💔💔

Those war years were tough. Her mom had to do Rosie the riveter and had to leave her kids on a farm with her folks for a long time. We forget, here in this country because it is so sanitized for us-- but war and all its tentacles really IS hell.

Yes. Too many forget the sacrifices of those who fought to give us freedom. It is terrifying to see it being stripped away bit By bit.
