Not sure about Aus. We have compulsory voting which means both major parties try for the middle vote. We don't have extremism like in the US e.g our conservative party banned anything above a double barrel shotgun about 30 years ago, and both parties send illegal refugees offshore.

That sounds great. Would love to be involved. Although, due to our political system we have nobody to rival Trump. Just fringe figures on the hard right, who don't have a lot of influence. And our High Court does not have the stench of SCOTUS. But there's still enough interesting stuff to report on.
