The local councils told right wing English wankers not to hang flags on the lightpoles (since it makes maintenance impossible) and took them down. So they've went all feral and are trying to paint red crosses on lots of white road markings. Done in pathetic red spray paint and distracting drivers.

Note that the flags everywhere is being done as a protest against Migrants in hotels. Not patriotism. Also Britain isn't like America where everyone puts flags everywhere - generally it's confined to official or Olympic things. The slang for people putting it everywhere is "flagshaggers".
