Is there a polite way to like, approach some devs, who have dropped the first trailer for their newly announced cool game and say "hey, your game looks rad! This trailer, is doing it a disservice tho"

you ask just to take the meeting first and then you do that part when you're in it.
It's trying to convince them they need the meeting. Tough to respond to "But we have a trailer already!"
I’d love to do this with some AAA games 😅
Tbf I mostly mean AAA games haha
Hahahahahaha
I made this fan trailer years ago because I thought the official trailers were terrible 🤪
Those studio logos at the start for the authentic big budget look!
So OFFICIAL LOOKING 🤪
As much as a good edit can work for you, a bad edit can work against you! Your audience might not understand editing but they FEEL it and if you have the budget, hiring or consulting an editor can make sure your game looks its best for the big debut I am available for hire 😅
I can't believe you would dunk on Derek Lieu like that.
ha as if! A Derek trailer never misses, no mistaking it
