Please be kind to those that hold doors open for you in public places. Say thank you, it’s appreciated. Just had a four year old child say thank you but his mom didn’t.

I always say thank you . I appreciate the good manners of a gentleman or gentle lady.
My hubbie typically holds doors open for people both male and female, and typically the males ignore him and the females thank him.
At least there’s hope for this world.
Oh my god yes! There seems to be a huge lack of awareness. Whether its space or a kind gesture, just be polite. Id like to add when you do walk through a door, get the hell out of the way so people, like the one who held the door for you, can come in too.
The awareness thing I see a lot also. But I see it more with people walking in public with their nose in their phone or they will be walking one direction and looking another direction. I can’t count the number of times someone has almost walked into me.
I see that to some degree. My frustration is the growing number of people seemingly unaware of how much space they feel entitled to, crossing streets without stopping & looking both ways, parking bikes in walkways, etc... People, please hold your children's hands in parking lots and crossing streets
I remember my manners 95% of the time and will say you’re welcome sometimes when I don’t hear a thank you when it’s deserved. But the lack of consideration for others is my biggest beef. Unaware that anyone exists around them
Same, Same
During and after the pandemic I noticed a rise in rudeness, selfishness, and entitlement. Even when the traffic light turns red it’s treated as, For Your Consideration as I see 3-4 cars go through the light
that's ok. his mom was probably worried about a million things mom's worry about... just like it's nice to do don't be upset if they don't say anything,
I get this all the time. But have to say it’s mainly from Eastern Europeans in our town. Glum, None smiling Just plain rude. I still do it and live in hope ! And I am 68 years old with bone cancer ( you would not know that by looking at me tho ) 🇬🇧
I always say Thank you and hope they have a great day. Truly sad, thex4yo said ty while mom didn’t
