I booked a last minute trip with VRBO. It took my payment and booking and the owner contacted me in a panic saying there was no availability! I had to wait for a refund. Very stressful as I booked flights too. It happened twice! It was two days before travel but you’d expect system to be live.

Politically, VRBO is a better alternative. They are mostly apolitical but gave the bulk (90%) of their political donations to Harris & other Dem candidates. From a rental perspective, if you need to house 3+ people or you are renting for a longer stretch, VRBO is a great. A hotel is better otherwise

Airbnb took two days to fix while they left me on the street within place to stay then after I was upset they kicked me off their app.

It depends on the home owner. Many will allow you to bring your own pets if their animals get along with others. In fact, not all home owners have pets, many use house sitting for insurance reasons - especially for long stays.
