By the time they’re 15 though, “Pack your own shit and that includes gotch.”
True
It’s really not vacation at first so much as it is experiencing life somewhere else. But it’s good practice. And then when they entertain themselves for bits at a time, then vacation is amazing.
And you will still get halfway to where you are going & realize you have forgotten something you will really need, but do not want to buy a new one of bc it is something you don't normally need two of.
It really not a vacation for your wife. It is ok, she knows it, and still loves you.
I remember those days and if you are flying you really have issues between the car seat, stroller , pack n play to mention a few . But relish every minute because they grow up so fast ! ❤️

Oh yeah..
True! Good luck. It will be a blast.
I tell people traveling while disabled is like traveling with a toddler. It’s why I bought an rv. I can pack it all in there and don’t have to move it into a hotel and only remove it once home. (I have a shit ton of medical equipment.)
Leaving for a week with our year and a half old tomorrow as well. We’ve traveled with her a couple times already but packing and preparing for the trip is still an incredibly daunting task.
So you're advertising to those burglarizing homes that they have an entire week to spend inside yours. Oh, but if you take the "entire house" nothing to worry about...
