This is my opinion. The interview was released first to try and exonerate Trump of wrongdoing. Because they know he's in the file and flight logs. In return Maxwell gets a pardon in Jan. 2029. They desperately want that birthday entry because it undercuts the "Trump is innocent" narrative. Total bs
