Okay, for ten points, where have I put my bike key? It's somewhere in my house (bike locked in shed, key only comes out if locked), not in usual place (raincoat pocket), bike panniers, with house or work keys, or on the handy corner of the worktop. I need to find it by 6.30pm!
Probably a bit late by now, but try in the shed door, on the floor near the shed door, anywhere you might have crouched down on the way back to the house, on the kitchen counter, in your pocket or any pocket in any clothes you recently took off, on top of the fridge, in the bathroom.
If it's like where I lost my buss pass whilst at York - in the most stupid place you could think of. I found my buss pass under my big coffee mug.

Try the rails where you can adjust the pannier attachment points. That's where my key was hiding for 40 (!) minutes while I was looking for it a couple of weeks ago. Good luck in finding yours!
