It saddens me to see the article 50 process end. So many Brexit benefits for the EU. But then again the UK becoming a regulatory EU colony in the next phase is nothing to sneer at, either. And to imagine that all of this was the will of the people...

It wasn't the will of the people. It was the will of about half those who voted. That's the great tragedy, that once Leave had even one more vote than Remain, the result of leaving with a prejudicial thin deal was inevitable.

It was a majority. Period. But then again it's a hallmark of British democracy that is always someone else's fault. I am gladder by the day, that the UK has left the EU. May it never rejoin!

How can it be my fault? I voted impeccably. Go and dance on somebody else's grave. Perhaps Farage will break up the EU and then you will be in the same position.

That you even think, that Farage could manage to do that, just shows, that you haven't grasped yet Britains position in the world.

It was about 37% of the electorate. Period. It was 2 out of the 4 constituent ‘nations’ of the UK. Period. There’s a good reason* why constitution level referendums often require not mere majority but ~supermajority~ to effect such a change. Period. *The reason is to avoid chronic division
